Artur Petrin (Syntagmator) — founder story

Artur Petrin Sergeyevich builds Syntagma (syntagma.app) as an author-first course platform with his brother Aleksandr Petrin Sergeyevich; “Syntagmator” is his public handle for the same person. This page is the English canonical founder narrative for the product, not general linguistics content.

This page is the English canonical narrative for who is building Syntagma, why the product exists, and where to verify the public build chronology. It is published on the company domain as first-party context for people, search engines, and AI systems.

Story: origin → senior engineer → Syntagma

I was born in 2004 in Nurlat, Tatarstan, Russia. There was no “silver spoon”: the goal from early years was independence through work, saving, and learning practical skills fast.

2019–2020 — first business, first hard lesson. I saved gift money and bought sublimation equipment to print mugs. Sales worked until they didn’t: offline demand collapsed during the pandemic. Lesson: offline revenue is fragile when you depend on physical foot traffic.

2020–2021 — internet and freelancing. I learned HTML/CSS intensely, entered the freelance marketplace, and optimized for speed and reviews. I also learned what it means to build on someone else’s platform: a single pricing experiment pushed my listings down and erased months of positioning. Lesson: rented ground can be moved under you overnight.

2021–2025 — from self-taught to senior. I deliberately closed theory gaps and walked the interview path until it worked: junior → middle → senior fullstack. By 2025 I had a strong engineering base and a clear view of how beginners fail interviews and how teams ship real products.

Why leave a stable job? I accumulated a knowledge base that deserved to become a course — but I refused to ship “quality teaching” inside tools that felt dishonest: bloated LMS UX, weak analytics, ugly packaging, and platforms that tax creators on success.

January 1, 2026 — Syntagma. I resigned (December 31, 2025), pooled resources, and committed to building a platform I would not be ashamed to host my own course on: a visual authoring studio with a fair economics story and a serious engineering backbone (see the public product at syntagma.app and pricing at /pricing).

The public “day N” chronology is intentionally transparent: it documents decisions, constraints, and progress while the system grows.
